Jack’s interest in real estate started in 2003 after reading the book “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”, while working as a firefighter for the city of Strongsville, Ohio. In 2005 he launched Petrick Builders (which would later come under the umbrella of Petrick Property Group). Over the next number of years he proceeded to build custom homes and performed high-end remodel work before the housing market meltdown in 2008.

He continued forward with a focus on purchasing and rebuilding distressed rental assets and building a passive income portfolio. He developed an acquisitions team, rehab crews, systems and processes in order to maximize the efficiency of his team and business. Initially the properties were managed in-house, which allowed him to develop and refine the investment operations regarding marketing, tenant screening, rent collections, eviction process, and unit turnover.

Jack has built Petrick Property Group from the ground, up. It now employs over 20 people between contractors, property managers, and office staff.
